How to Safely Store Your Power Station When Not in Use?
Proper storage of your power station ensures its longevity and prevents damage. Here’s how to safely store your power station when it’s not in use:
1. Charge the Power Station to 50%–70%
Before storing your power station, it’s ideal to charge it to about 50%–70% of its full capacity. Storing the battery at a full charge or at 0% for extended periods can degrade its health.
2. Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Heat and humidity are the biggest threats to your power station’s battery. Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Avoid areas with high humidity or extreme temperatures, such as garages or attics.
3. Turn Off the Power Station
To prevent any unnecessary battery drain, turn off the power station completely before storing it. Make sure all connected devices are unplugged, and there’s no active draw on the battery.
4. Avoid Storing in Extreme Temperatures
Do not store the power station in areas where the temperature fluctuates dramatically, such as in a car. High heat can cause the battery to degrade, while freezing temperatures can affect its performance.
5. Check Regularly
Even when not in use, check your power station periodically to ensure it’s still in good condition. If you haven’t used it for several months, recharge it to maintain the battery health.
